Hello guys, my name is Felix and I take pictures of Brazil`s night sky! Thanks so much to Fraser for letting me share my work with you today! Feel free to follow me and check out my gallery at: @guivfelix This is one of my favorite shots because it has so much history and memories behind it and It feels amazing to register this into one picture. This was taken in a very beautiful location in the south of Brazil called "Corner of Hell" in a free translation, a place that was once used as a refuge for slaves back in the 1800s when slavery was still a thing in this country. When the abolition came, the slaves were given this land to live, since it wasn't fertile and it wasn't any good for animal agriculture either due to the rocky formations that can be seen in the picture. Nowadays, descendants of these people still live there, and they were happy to welcome me and my friends to their house and let us spend the night camping and shooting the beautiful night sky. For the brief stay I had, I was amazed by their kindness of heart, and this goes to show that there are still people that are truly good in our world, and for that, I am very thankful for. Shot was taken with: Canon 6D / Rokinon 14mm / f2.8 / ISO 6400 / 25 seconds / 4 shot panorama with the foreground iluminated by a lamp and stitched together in microsoft ICE / #astrophotography #milkyway #nightscape #stars #brazil #nightphotography Want to be featured? @obstinated here with the last one for my @universetoday takeover! I just wanted to say thanks to Fraser (@fcain) for letting me take over the account for the day, it's been fun. This is one of my favorite photos I took on my big road trip, and one of the best astro photos I've ever taken. In Grand Teton National Park, we trekked around for 30 minutes in the bushes surrounded by noisy elk in the dark before finally coming out to this spot on the Snake River. The spots next to the road weren't good enough because the core of the Milky Way wasn't above the water, so I am incredibly happy that we decided to take the extra effort to find a good spot with calm water that likely no one had ever shot the Milky Way at before. This was definitely one of those instances where the effort taken made the photograph rather than any actual skill. I shot this photo with my Nikon D750 and a Sigma Art 24-35mm F2 lens at F2, ISO 4000, 25 secs and edited it entirely in Lightroom. Follow me if you'd like to see and hear about more of my adventures, or just to say hi! And if you're ever around, message me and let's meet up and shoot! Bye for now! #mygtnp #astrophotography #reflectiongram #symmetricalmonsters #milkyway #astronomy #nature #landscape #nightsky #longexposure #space #cosmos #universe Want to be featured?
