My Little Firecracker

Good morning!  I have a card to share today that uses one of my favorite color combos. . .red, white and blue!  I just LOVE anything patriotic and I just LOVE this little Mischief Maker Americana from Taylored Expressions.  I paired her up with the Summer Nights 6x6 Patterned Paper Pack.

I started my card by looking to the current Share Joy Challenge for inspiration.  I used the sketch from the challenge as well as the tic-tac-toe by using twine, dots and stripes and coloring on my card. The other paper on the card is Blue Corn and Cherry Pop as well as Sugar Cube.  I colored the image using Copic markers and then fussy cut her out to put her on the card with foam tape.  The blue circle was die cut using the Stitched Circle Stacklets.   The image and sentiment were both stamped in Oreo ink.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Try playing along with the Share Joy Challenge!!  It's a lot of fun and is a great starting point when you're "stuck" for inspiration!!

Challenge deadline: Tuesday, July 5.
Prize: $30 gift voucher to the Verve online store!

If you came from visiting Betty and seeing her gorgeous creation, you're in the right place!!  For my card, I used the Love Everlasting set along with the Everlasting Heart Die Set.  I also used the l little branch die from the Beautiful Flowers Die Set.  My inspiration came directly from the colors in the photo.  I love them together.  Wouldn't be a combo I would naturally pick, but I love the color combo!!  I LOVE embossing the heart image in white onto vellum and layering it onto patterned paper to mute the pattern.  I added some sequins from the Copper Blush Mix to finish the card.  Next on the hop is Christyne.  You won't want to miss what she's created!!

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It's sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we're giving away a $30 gift voucher to Verve to one random commenter along the hop.  Just leave a little love as you hop about for a chance to win!

Adorable Dogs and Building Barns

Hi there!  Welcome back for Day 3 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!  All of the new products will be available tomorrow at 7am Pacific!!  Today I have two more projects to share with you!  The first uses the NEW Mimi Stamp & Die Combo!  If you're a dog lover, you'll love this set.  This poodle is definitely a diva, don't you think?  :)

I made my poodle a girl and used some girly colors for the card.  I used the Stitched Circle Stacklets as well as some Build a Scene Sequins for this card.

The second project I have to share uses the NEW Build a Barn and the Build a Scene - Farm Fence dies.  Are these not the cutest die sets?  They are perfect for making cards or scrapbook pages having to do with farms or animals, but also kids birthdays!  Doesn't this barn remind you of the Little People Barn that everyone grew up with?  I used the NEW Honeycomb Embossing Folder for the card base.

The Build a Scene - Farm Fence helps to create a perfect little scene as do some of the NEW Little Bits I've used on this card. . .Little Bits - Tractor and Little Bits - Windmill.  The sentiment is from the previously released set, Green Acres, which also coordinates perfectly with all of these new products!!

New Summer Fun

Welcome back for Day 2 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!!  I hope you enjoyed the products we shared yesterday!!  Remember, all of these products will be available Thursday, June 9 at 7am Pacific!!  Today I have two more projects to share with you.  The first uses the NEW Summer Grumplings set.  If you're a fan of the Grumplings line of stamps, you'll love this one as well!!

As with all of the previously released Grumplings sets, the characters are adorable and the sentiments are hilarious!!  I just love this little penguin with the floaty!  I created a scene by coloring some "sand" with Copic markers and then diecutting the chair using the NEW Little Bits - Adirondack Chair die.  It was the perfect size for this penguin and the scene!  There is a coordinating die set, Summer Grumplings, that will also be available for purchase!  It sure makes diecutting those cute little critters a breeze!

The second project I have to share today features the NEW On the Road - Scooter.  How adorable is that scooter?  Especially when you can make it in any color you choose!!  I also used a few other new products on this card.  The frame was created using the NEW Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate.

The trees in the scene were created using the NEW On the Line Beach Cutting Plate and the banner was created using the NEW Happy Summer Banner.  I thought this made for such a happy summer card.  I could just imagine the beach air blowing through my hair as I rode my scooter!  LOL
