Thanks So Much

I have a card to share today that uses the Sunshiny Day set from Taylored Expressions.  I haven't used this set in quite a while so I thought I'd ink it up a bit!  First of all, I was inspired by THIS CARD by Joan Ervin on Pinterest.  I love how she stamped the dinosaurs on patterned paper and even colored in parts on the patterned paper to make them darker or to give contrast.

I was inspired to do that on this card.  I stamped the trees and the owl on patterned paper from the Double the Fun Paper Pack.  I cut those out and then colored right on the patterned paper to add the tree trunks or the wings and eyes on the owl.  I sponged a cloud background using the Cloud Border and used the ZigZag Embossing Folder on the card base.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you were inspired to create!

VLV I Heart You

It's Friday and time for another Viva la Verve Sketch!  This week I'm the hostess, so I hope you can find some time to play along!

For my card, I used the You and I set along with the coordinating I Heart U Die set.  Because I wanted a bigger heart, I used the Heart Quartet Die for the heart.  The papers are from the Plus One Collection by Amy Tangerine for American Crafts.

The sketch is pretty simple, so hopefully it will inspire you to create!!  Thanks for stopping by!

Verve October Release Retrospective Blog Hop

Welcome to Verve's October Release Retrospective Blog Hop! The Verve Divas are hopping today and serving up some more inspiration using the October release stamps & dies! Besides a look-see at some really nifty cards, there's also a comment prize up for grabs!  If you came from Jen's Blog, you're in the right place!

For my card today, I used the Masquerade set from Verve along with the Mask Die Set.   I die cut and embossed the mask in black and stamped and embossed the sentiment, feathers and stars in gold.  I thought it added a nice zing to the Halloween colors.  :)  I also used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch for my card!  Next on the hop is Laurie!

Smile

I have a simple and fun card to share today.  It's colorful and sure to brighten someone's day!  I used the Pockets &Pages 3x4 Bubble In Die from Taylored Expressions for the basic idea of the card.  I like that the die speaks for itself. . .just a thought that was put onto a card.  :)  I die cut this out of some Oreo cardstock.

Instead of stamping, I decided to use another die and embed that in the speech bubble.  I decided the Pockets & Pages Circle Words worked well.  I die cut smile out of Lollipop and Peapod cardstocks and then pieced it together to give the two tone image.  I cut a 3x4 piece of patterned paper from the Double the Fun Paper Pack and attached that to the card base.  I mounted the speech bubble on top of that with foam tape.

Hope this card made you smile today!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Verve October 2014 Release Celebration - Day 4

It's the final day of Verve's October 2014 Release Celebration! Three new sets, three new dies and a sequin mix just released on Saturday and today we're back sharing our inspirations with a new set designed by Julee Tilman called Inspire Hope.

If you came from Jen's Blog, you're in the right place! For my card today I used the frame from the set and stamped flowers at each end in two different colors.  The patterned paper was in my scrap bin and I thought it matched the color scheme well.   Inspire Hope is a beautiful set and offers lots of ways to customize the look of your card!  Thanks for stopping by all week!  I hope you've been inspired!  Next on the hop is Laurie!!
