Verve February Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop

It's time for the Verve Divas to bring you our monthly Diva Inspirations Challenge and Blog Hop! There are two ways to win Verve prizes: comment on the design team's blog hop posts (linked below) to see their take on the inspiration, then go get inky and link up your take on the challenge to be eligible in our prize drawings! You have until March 5 to link up, so feel free to play as often as you like.

The pop of color in this industrial style loft speaks of the hope of spring in the midst of winter. Kind of like February... it's still cold and wintry, but new life is on the horizon. Feel free to take your inspiration from the photo or the color combo, whatever suits your fancy! We can't wait to see what you create.

If you came from visiting Betty, you're in the right place!!  For my card I used the Heart's Desire set from Verve along with some papers I found in my stash that matched the color combo in the inspiration piece.

I also used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch for my card.  I loved the colors in the inspiration picture.  To add some extra sparkle, I added some silver glitter glue to the inside of the vellum heart and some Shine Bright Sequins to the card.  Next on today's hop is Christyne.  Thanks for stopping by!

Taylored Expressions RELEASE DAY!!

Good morning!  It's time!  All of the products we've been sharing with you over the last few days are NOW AVAILABLE in the TE Store!!  I hope you've enjoyed all of the sneak peeks this week!  I have one more project to share with you today!  This card uses the NEW In the Garden Cutting Plate.  I think this is such a neat cutting plate!  I love the silhouette and all of the different ways you can use it!

I started by creating a colorblocked background with cardstock.  I used Peapod, Pumpkin and Cookie Monster.  I used the In the Garden Cutting Plate to die cut the "scene" out of Oreo cardstock and adhered it over the colorblocked background.  I used a piece of the Picture Perfect - Sunny Days large frame die for the sentiment.  That was die cut from Lemon Meringue.  The sun was created using the Sunny Days Stamp & Die Combo and Potato Chip and Candy Corn cardstock. I hope you've been inspired today!

Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks: Simply Stamped Tulips and Butterfly Swirls Embossing Folder

Hi there and welcome to Day 3 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!  Tomorrow morning, all of the products you've been seeing this week will be available for purchase!!  I hope you've been liking what you're seeing!  I have two more projects to share today.  The first uses the NEW Simply Stamped - Tulips.  This is the next in the Simply Stamped Line of stamps.

Each of these sets contain multi-step stamp images that make for a beautiful finished image.  There is also a Simply Stamped - Tulips Die Set that will be available for purchase.  I didn't not use that on this card, as I stamped the images on the card base.  I also used another new product on this card, the Fringe Border Die.  It made that little patch of grass!  I added some vellum butterflies to the card using the In Flight Overlays.

The second project I have to share today uses the NEW Butterfly Swirls Embossing Folder.  I just LOVE this embossing folder!  It's just beautiful!  I started with a piece of Pink Champagne cardstock and embossed it using the Butterfly Swirls Embossing Folder.  Next I rubbed a white pigment ink pad over the top of the embossed piece so that the raised portions would be lighter than the rest of the cardstock.

I used an image and sentiment from the Discover Your Wings set.  I stamped and embossed each of them onto vellum in white.  The butterfly was die cut using the coordinating Discover Your Wings - In Flight Die Set.  To finish the card, I some sequins from the For Peep's Sake Sequins and a vellum scalloped border using the Small Scallop Border Die.

Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks: Picture Perfect Sunny Days and Welcome Spring Banners

Welcome back for Day 2 of sneak peeks at Taylored Expressions!!  I hope you've been enjoying what you've been seeing so far!  Today I have another set of projects to share with you!  The first uses the NEW Picture Perfect - Sunny Days Die Set.  This is the next in the Picture Perfect Series.  I love the set of frames in each set that make for a great card.

For this card, I used both sizes of the frames for one card.  I started by inking up the inside of the Cloudy Days Embossing Folder with ink and then embossing a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock to create by sky.  Next, I die cut a piece of patterned paper from the Build a Scene 6x6 Paper Pack with the large die in the set.  The inner part, or sun, was die cut using the smaller frame die and Lemon Meringue and Candy Corn cardstock.  As a finishing touch, I covered the sun in Stardust Stickles for a nice sparkle!

My second project today uses the NEW Welcome Spring Banners.  I die cut some Peapod cardstock using the NEW Leafy Vine Cutting Plate and shaded the leaves using Copic markers.  I die cut the Welcome Spring Banners from some Pink Champagne cardstock and some patterned paper from the Hello Happiness 6x6 Paper Pack.

To add to the banners, I used a piece of the NEW Center Stage Cutting Plate and die cut pieces out of Lavender Glaze and Cookie Monster cardstocks.   The birds are from the NEW Little Bits - Birds Dies.  The birds were die cut out of Potato Chip cardstock.  To finish the card, I added some For Peep's Sake Sequins.

Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks: Lucky Charms and Roly Poly Duck

Welcome to Day 1 of the February Sneak Peeks for Taylored Expressions!  We have lots of exciting new products to share with you over the next few days!  I have two projects today.  The first uses the NEW Lucky Charms Stamp & Die Combo.  This is an adorable little set complete with matching dies.

It's perfect for Spring, St. Patrick's Day or Easter!  The fun and adorable images are sure to bring a smile to anyone's face!  I started my card by sponging some ink on a Sugar Cube panel.  I stamped and colored the clover with Copic markers and then die cut it using the coordinating dies.  The sentiment was stamped onto Oreo cardstock and embossed with Zing Gold Glitter Embossing Powder.  As a finishing touch, I added some Wedding Sequins to the card for some extra sparkle.

The second project I have to share uses the NEW Roly Poly Duck.  Roly Poly Duck in the newest in the Roly Poly Series.   I used it with the Stitched Circle Stacklets and plastic cups to create these little Easter treats.

I thought it would be cute to have the little ducks in different pastel colors, so I die cut them out of Potato Chip, Pink Champagne and Lavender Glaze.  I attached them to cupcake liners that I die cut with the Cupcake Wrap Die.

In addition to those colors, I used Candy Corn, Pumpkin and Oreo to complete each duck.  I filled little cello bags with green filler and then created little banners using a sentiment from Tag-a-long Easter and the Stitched Banners Stacklets.
