Happy Hello

Hi there!  I have a fun little card to share with you today using alphabet dies.  I used the Chunky Alpha from Taylored Expressions for my card.  I always LOVE the look of using the negative of alphabet dies, so I created a card using that technique.

I started by diecutting "hello" out of some Lollipop cardstock.  I had to run it through twice since I only had one "L" die.  Once I die cut the sentiment, I embossed that piece with the Lots of Dots Embossing Folder to give it some interest.  I attached that piece to the black using foam tape.  The flowers were created using the Scribble Flowers Die Set.  To add a little sparkles, I used some sequins from the Sweetheart Sequins.

I hope you've been inspired by a fun, simple way to use your alphabet dies!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Verve stamps aren't required to play, but we do smile a little brighter when we see them!  If you've come from visiting Betty, you're in the right place!!

The changing colors of autumn is always such a treat. Like a paintbrush came and colored the world. One of my favorite trees around the neighborhood turns a brilliant purple in the fall, and is so beautiful against the blue sky. So while some may find this a wintry inspiration, to me a bit of regal purple and a touch of sky and earth will always be fall. Follow the color pattern, or take your inspiration from the graphic, either way it's sure to be lovely! We can't wait to see what you create!

For my card, I used the colors in the inspiration photo (which I LOVE) along with the Kindness Matters set and Great Kindness and Pottery Die Sets.  The layout came from this week's Mojo Monday Sketch!    Next on today's hop is Christyne!!

Welcome back for Day 3 of sneak peeks at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you've been enjoying everything you've been seeing in the last couple of days!  All of the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow, Thursday, September 1st at 7am Pacific!!  The first project I have to share today uses the NEW Wish Big Stamp & Die Combo!  This is the birthday celebration giveaway with a purchase of $50 or more!!  How exciting is that?!

I started by stamping the balloons and strings on the card and then embossing with the NEW Confetti Embossing Folder.  I stamped and die cut the "happy" and then stamped birthday.  I finished the card with some "sequins" that I die cut using the NEW Little Bits - Sequins Confetti.

The second project I have for today features the NEW Simply Stamped - Leaves and Simply Stamped - Leaves Die Set.  This is a gorgeous multi-step stamp set.  Each of the leaf images has three steps to create the image.  I started by stamping and die cutting all of the leaves.  I had fun mixing colors of ink until I came up with these combos.  The green leaves were created using Lemon Meringue, Granny Smith and Peapod.  The orange leaves with Lemon Meringue, Candy Corn and Pumpkin, and then the reddish leaves with Lemon Meringue, Cherry Pop stamped off and then Cherry Pop at full strength.

I stamped the sentiment in Sugar Cube ink onto Oreo cardstock and heat embossed it.  Next I embossed the Toffee cardstock in the background with the NEW Sprinkles Embossing Folder and arranged the leaves and sentiment onto the card.  I die cut the "thanks" using the Thanks Cutting Plate with gold mirrored cardstock and added that down the side.  I finished the card with a strip of patterned paper from the Playful Patterns - Harvest 6x6 Paper Pack as well as some sequins from the Harvest Matched Sequins.
