Pictures of Love!

People love to remember good times and wish they stayed forever. This, in other words, shows that the human mind is wired to connect and relate to past experiences and encounters. We tend to replay past events, relationships, successes and even failure.

When it comes to relationship, this becomes even harder to manage as people keep comparing past relationships with the present. In a way, you cannot blame them because what they once enjoyed can no longer be found.

Isn't it Funny...

it's funny i was just thing back when i was 7 and my sister was 8, i remember how this girl near her bus stop used to tease and make fun of her b/c she was in special, like she'll say things like little retard and just a lot of cruel words, and my sister would cry and run and tell my parents, my father was really upset But my mom told him to let her handle it, so the next day she takes her to the bus stop and she sees this girl much bigger than my sister, and it was in the winter time, and she had on old looking clothes and her coat was unzipped, and her hair uncombed, so my mom spoke to the girl and zipped up her coat, brushed her hair up in a pony tail, and my mom asked her if she could do her a favor, and be nice to my sister b/c she knew she was already a nice little girl.

And you wouldn't believe after that day she never made fun of my sister again, in fact they became friends and are still friend to this day, i just think it's kinda funny

FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

If only she knew then what i know now!!

This morning I woke up from a funny dream. My best friend and I were back in second grade. We didn’t have the same teacher back then, but neither did we in the dream, so she went to the classroom next door, like it was then. It was funny to me because of that saying “If only I knew then what I know now”, well it was like that. Let’s just say I totally ruled at second grade! The grammar lesson was a jamoke, and then this girl from second grade was telling me about how she wanted her own website, and I was all “been there, done that”. I’d be a second grader with an attitude if I knew then what I know now, lol.

In my last post, I shared a letter I received from someone who purchased one of my comic paintings. This week I have received a couple emails regarding more of that. One was from someone wanting some tips on submitting and the other was this AWESOME picture from Marisa who purchased this painting from a machine at her school.

PS: Chelsea strengthened their grip at the top of the Premier League as they continued their incredible record at the Reebok Stadium. What more can i say...CHELSEA FOREVER!!!

Nigeria's State Security Service or SSS, the same intelligence agency that shut down Channels TV for legally broadcasting incorrect information about President Yar'Adua, is at it again.

Jonathan Elendu, the writer at Elendu Reports, was arrested by Nigeria's SSS on Saturday evening upon arrival in Nigeria from the United States. Elendu was reportedly arrested to answer questions because his 'activities' have allegedly generated some national security issues. One publication specifically reported that Elendu was arrested for "sponsoring a guerilla news agency."[sic]

He was held for over 24 hours before he was interrogated. A spokesperson for the SSS told the Nigerian media that the "rule of law" would be followed and that Elendu wold be given an opportunity to defend himself, saying,

"Mr. Jonathan Elendu was invited today to answer questions on matters concerning national security which has to do wtih his reports. [sic] We are following the rule of law in whatever we are doing. After the question and answer, we can now establish the facts why he was invited."
It is not clear whether Elendu has been released or whether he will be held indefinitely. What is clear is that "other on-line publishers who are abroad run the risk of being arrested on their return to Nigeria."

UPDATE 1: Nigerian Curiosity just got word from Elendu's family that Jonathan Elendu has been released and is currently seeing a doctor. It is unclear whether his passport has been returned and whether there were any conditions for his release.

UPDATE 2: ELENDU IS FAR FROM FREE
Unfortunately, although he is now receiving medical attention, Elendu is not actually free. His passport was not returned to him and therefore he is not free to return to his family in Michigan. Although he is no longer in detention, Elendu remains detained in Nigeria by the Nigerian government because without his travel documents, he does not have the right to leave Nigeria and return tohis residence in Michigan.
