Another full plate of solid earnings releases await investors Tuesday. The bulls are licking their wounds as a surge of late session selling pushed shares sharply lower on the close. Fears of an international contagion of countries being unable to deal with their budgets spread to stocks today. The financial sector led the decline while solid upgrades in Google, Home Depot and Amazon kept the biggest bears in check. The DJIA gave back 103.84, the Nasdaq fell 15.07 and the S&P 500 dropped 9.45.
