Server DownUnfortunately my web hosting company is down which has killed access to part of my website and my email. So if you sent me an email in the past two days I still haven't gotten it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be back up and running today. Portraits for the Holidays! Can you believe it has been a 105 outside! We are in the dog days of summer and I so can't wait till it turns cold. I'm just dreaming about the days I can wear soft yummy sweaters and stand by a bon fire roasting marshmallows and drinking hot chocolate. (okay I admit, I love hot chocolate and in the winter I can drink my weight in it ). How in the world could I be thinking about the holidays and it's only August? Well as we all know the air will turn colder and before we know it will be eating turkey and singing christmas carols.
So now is the time to book your session if you want to give the gift of Photographic art to your family and friends. This year the cut off date for Holiday orders will be mid-November. It's to help all you procrastinators out there, Just kidding :) Sessions start at $250. Seeing that my life is crazy on the weekends with weddings and Todd keeps asking when will "he" get to spend some quality time with me, I'm only scheduling 5 sessions a week. That doesn't leave very much time for you to hesitate. GIve me a call 864-923-2473 and we can chat about what I've still have open. Alex & Synda- Married Away, the portrait session & slideshowIt's been a long wedding day full of smiles, laughter, tears of joy and a few unexpected surprises. Each person who has witnessed Synda and Alex's union, has gotten caught up in the emotion and swept away by their love for each other and the love these two truly feel and receive for their family and friends. At the end of the day it's time to find a moment where they can be alone and savor the beautiful moment. What better location than down by the ocean. Okay so we had been joking about them getting in the water. Then when ALex went to scoop Synda up, well the picture tells the story. I think they would have fallen asleep had the rains not started.Watching the rain from a pool side cabañaAll the images you see here on the blog and quite a few more can be seen on the slideshow. There is a lot of hustle and bustle as the Raffles staff prepares to help her out of the car. Alex is there trying hard not to turn around and see his lovely bride. I'm not sure how he does it, I'm sure I wouldn't have the stamina. Inside we hear the steel drums beckoning us inside. The time has come for our little flower girl. Sweetly, the only time this social butterfly gets the jitters is as she enters the chapel. With a little instruction and reassurance from the "Wedding Diva" She heads down the isle. During the readings Synda and Alex where able to sit in their heart of roses. I took a quick moment to see the view from the outside Guest getting ready for the kiss So while the guest enjoyed their cocktail hour, Linnyette shows Synda and Alex the reception room. The cake In each little box held the guest favors, but 4 certain guest had a special surprise inside. You got to watch the show, Married Away to find out what it is! I caught Synda and Alex singing along to the steel drums as they waited for their guest to be seated. A little cake in the face. The YUMMY cake. I've never seen a prettier view for a Garter toss. Okay I promise there is even more to come, After the wedding we took Synda and Alex for a private portrait session on the beach that some how turned into a trash the dress session. So you got to come back and see those pictures! Also I'll be posting a slideshow soon! The "wedding Diva", Linnyette, having a good laugh I have to thank the whole production crew from Married Away, Renee', Cara, Tom, Jay, Brian and Jorge. You guys where just awesome to work with! From what I've been told I have to tell at least eight things you may not know about me and then tag other bloggers to do the same.
#8 I love chocolate But really who doesn't and if you don't why not? #7 I wanted to be a jockey I went to college as a pre-vet student. I worked and lived on a horse farm while there. I loved horses and still do, even though one broke my foot last year. I thought I wanted to be smart and heal animals but found out having a good time was just way more fun than studying. Now I'm happy just living here on our farm watching the cows graze and my doggies chase the Fed Ex man. #6 Film I love old cameras. And I still like to shoot film on occasion #5 Stormy Weather When a storm is a comin your more likely to find me sitting on my front porch watching the lighting. But only after I have safely unplugged every electrical thing in my house. #4 Gotta Brusha Brusha Brusha! In college my dentist told me to stop brushing my teeth. So I can get a little obsessive with brushing my teeth. I love to brush and have at times brushed them over eight times a day. But I wouldn't exactly call that over board. :) #3 I'm a salty dog at heart In other words I really love the ocean and the especially the salt marshes of SC and GA. Some of my happiest memories are of me and Todd cruising the marsh in our Key West boat headed to our favorite "shrimping hole". And yes we actually cast a huge net and catch enough shrimp for supper even though some times it might be a shrimp cocktail. #2 I'm a twin I have a twin sister. We don't look that much a like but it still amazes us that people get us confused. #1 Canoeing in little blue My husband and I love to canoe so as a surprise last year he bought us a blue canoe. Blue is my favorite color so it was only fitting to do one of my favorite things, canoeing in a blue canoe! okay so the luck folks who get tagged are: Amanda Kraft: http://homepage.mac.com/amandakraft/iblog/ Ben Vigil: http://www.benvigil.com/news/ Clark Berry: http://clarkberry.typepad.com/clarksblog/ Tracy Turpen: http://tracyturpenweddings.com/blog/ Jenna Walker: http://homepage.mac.com/jennawalker1/iblog/ More Recent Articles |
