Bloggers Challenge - Giving Thanks

Happy Friday! Hope you had a wonderful week! This weekend I'll be at the One of a Kind Rubber Stamp & Scrap Show in Madison, you'll find me at the Make & Take Booth for Our Daily Bread Designs, if you visit the show, be sure to stop by and say hi!

With Thanksgiving just a week away, what better theme for Bloggers Challenge - then Giving Thanks. I went for more of a C&S approach to my card today. Well - I really intended for a C&S card, but after thinking about the post I had scheduled, I went back and tore it apart. Ever have one of those days? I'm much happier with this version. The beautiful white card stock is White Leather from Paper Temptress, this card stock has such a cool texture to it, and really does look and feel like leather! I used the Out of the Box Technique to stamp the Turkey from Kitchen Sink Stamps 3 Step Turkey Trot.

Three Clover Thursday Challenge - A Gift for You

Happy Thursday! Welcome to another Three Clover Thursday Challenge, Kerry issued the following challenge for this week, create a Christmas card that has no red or green. Easy right? Wrong! I'm more of a traditional red/green stamper when it comes to creating my Holiday cards, so this one was quite a challenge! But, it's challenges that make us grow and become more creative as stampers, so here's my take on this weeks challenge.

I had some leftover card stock cut from last years Christmas Card classes, so I went there first for my inspiration, and lucky me! I had some Baja Breeze and Chocolate panels all ready to go! I embossed the Baja Breeze panels with the CuttleBug Snowflake Folder, then using the CuttleBug Highlights Technique, I added some Brillance Silver to the raised areas. I sponged all Baja Breeze panels with Soft Suede Ink, and distressed both the Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip panels. The beautiful present comes from Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi Step Gift plate. Keeping with the colors of my base card and panels, I stamped in shades of Blues and Browns, cut with a Spellbinders Circle Die, sponged the edges, and layered on a distressed Chocolate Circle, then to my base card. I left off the sentiment, as this card can now be used for the Holidays or a Winter Birthday.

TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge - Santa's Lap

I'm a bit late for this weeks TechnoStamper Sketch Challenge, I had intended on posting on Sunday, but time just got away from me. I love all things vintage, and here I paired Santa's Lap from Cornish Heritage Farms with the beautiful Cosmo Cricket Christmas papers from last year. I die cut the Snowflake using the Sizzix Die, then sponged on Linen Distress Ink, and Fired Brick to the edges. I stamped the image in Black Archival on the back side of a piece of the Cosmo Cricket paper, then added color using the Sepia Technique from the current TJNL.

It's Hip to be Square - 3 Pocket Caddy

I'm glad you could stop by for today's JustRite - It's Hip to be Square Blog Hop! The JustRite Design Team is showcasing creations made using the new November Releases.

I created this cute 3 Pocket Caddy altering this template a bit. Instead of having a circle handle, I opted to print the directions on copy paper, then following the measurements, scored and cut my card stock, keeping my middle section square. The base of my Caddy is made from Grey card stock, again I printed the pattern on copy paper, and used the measurements to create my box. To angle the side panels, I used the Tag Corner Punch. I added a layer of Black card stock, and some Night & Day Specialty Papers from Stampin' Up! to embellish my Caddy.

I created some 3" x 3" cards using the JustRite 2" Square Wood Stamper, 2" Square Decorative Frames, and the new Just a Note Borders & Centers. I placed the Border and Center onto the 2" Wood Stamper then stamped in Black on White Card stock. I punched the sentiment using a 1" Square, layering onto a 1-1/4" Black panel, then onto the stamped Border, a Black panel then to my base card. I added some Kaiser Gems to embellish the border.

I created a Bind It All Note Pad Holder to place in the center of the Caddy, and a Bind It All Post it Note Holder and Pen to place in the back compartment of the Caddy. To embellish both the Note Pad and Post It Note Holders, I added monograms as my centers using the Times New Roman Uppercase Font in 95pt and 50pt, then placed my Decorative Frame Border onto the 2" Wood Stamper, stamping in Black on White card stock. This time I trimmed closely to the frame, mounting on a Black, then White panel, then onto my Bind It All Projects.
