This is a funny card I made that reminds me of my messy desk and all the work I need to do. Sorry my posts have been few lately, I am barely keeping up right now! This stamp always makes me chuckle (: This stamp is a Gruffies, Attack Of the Caffeine Crash. I colored him using Copics. The background stamp is a cute set from Gina K Designs. The metal embellishment came from a 350 piece embellishment set from Scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com.

This card was made using one of my favorite House Mouse stamps. I used Holly Jolly rub ons on the mug. The paper is double sided and made into a nontraditional fold (not sure what it is called) (: When you open the card it folds out. The ribbon is a holiday ribbon I bought last year after Christmas. I used pearl stickers to the side of this card. Find the supplies in my store.
I have had a CRAZY week of holiday parties and parent teacher conferences for my four children. I hope to get around to your Blogs, but if not please forgive me. The children are all well (at the moment, crossing fingers) so I hope to get into my normal routine. Normal as my life gets anyway. LOL!

This is the baby boy card I made for our local SCS shoebox swap last Saturday. The theme was baby, because one of our members Michelle is having her first baby boy in December. We are really excited for her! Any-who the card shape was made with the
Spellbinders scalloped square die. My inspiration idea was a baby blanket. The stamp is an old Stampin Up stamp, but I still really like it. The image was colored with
Copics.

I have to say the pictures do not do these fun flowers justice! You can literally make these out of anything, and that is what makes them so much fun to make. The red flowers were made with leftover chipboard, run through the Sizzix using polka dots, edges were roughed up, painted with a bright red acrylic paint and a small brad was placed through to hold the layers together. In person it looks a lot like leather. The green flowers were made using the green Kiwi pack of paper from my store. I used objects around my craft room to make the layered circles. I crinkled the layers up in my hand and sanded them with a large nail file. I used a small hole punch to make button type holes and I laced the ribbon through. Diamond Stickles were placed around the edges to make the layers stand out.
The brown flowers were made using a dark brown and tan felt. I didn't want the circles to be perfect and I fluffed up the felt to make them fuzzy. Matching medium sized copper brads from the 350 piece embellishment set from my store were added.
These flowers are gorgeous in person! I used Hot Mamma paper, cut them using three sizes of the Spellbinders scalloped circle die, pearl paint, and a painted brad for the center. I crinkled these layers up too, and it gave it a flower type texture. I used chipboard, cardstock, felt and pattern paper for my flowers. You can use acrylic, fabric, cardboard boxes you name it! These flowers are truly fun to make (: Next I am going to use my new Basic Grey 6x6 paper and layer the patterns!
