Caardvarks Color A Stamped Image Challenge

Today is the day for a new Caardvarks challenge and it is a fabulous one.  The challenge is to color a stamped image and I created this Happy Thanksgiving card with a 3-D stamped image that I colored with my Stampin' Up! markers.  I stamped the image four times and then colored and cut each one so that I could layer the image with foam adhesive to give it dimension.  The challenge is being sponsored by My Scrapbook Nook and the prize is Copic Markers.  There is also a shopping discount available to Caardvarks readers, so hop on over to Caardvarks for all the details as well as to check out the fabulous work the design team did with the challenge.

Cardstock, patterned paper, stamps, ink, markers, ribbon, modern label punch, word window punch, antique brads, dimensional adhesive: Stampin' Up!
Other: sewing machine and thread and Nestabilities dies

Apron Strings Designs November 2009 Projects

I can't believe that November is more than half over.  The holidays are not quite upon us and the days just seem to be flying by.  I have been busy with some design team projects and I wanted to share with you the ones I completed for the November Smaller than a Breadbox kit at Apron Strings Designs.  I had the opportunity to design with this awesome kit and I loved everything about it.  The paper lines fit perfectly with my children's personalities as well as some favorite activities and occasions.

This is the Bo Bunny - Kitchen Spice line

I was also able to get a mini album completed with the scraps from this line.....

This is the KI Memories -Flourish line

And a quick card I was able to do with the scraps from this kit.....

And this last line is from Bella Boulevard - Super Stud line

I was able to make 3 pages out of this one......

and also this cute and quick card......

You can hop on over to Apron Strings Designs and get one of these fabulous kits for yourself or even as a gift for a loved one.  They also have Gift Subscriptions for 3, 6, or 12 months that would make a perfect gift for the paper crafter in your life this Holiday Season.  Be sure to stop by the Apron Strings Designs blog and see what fun challenges they are running.  There is always a yummy (non-fattening) cookie jar treat up for grabs.

Peace On Earth - Kazan's Sketch 39 at 2S4Y

How has your week been??  Weather wise, we have gone from a beautiful autumn day to a crisp cool winter one.  With the snow falling and the temperatures dropping, it drives me to my scrapbook room more than any other time of the year.  I have been a busy little beaver getting projects completed for my design teams that I will share with you soon, but I did finish a card for the challenge this week at 2 Sketches 4 You that I can share with you today.  This week, it is the lovely Kazan's turn to share a sketch with us and this is my card based on that sketch.  I used a frosted card blank from Shortcuts for this card and I stamped it with a snowflake stamp from Stampin' Up! and Opaque Staz On.  I also tried something new for me with these frosted card bases....I hand sewed around the middle square (that is Bermuda Bay cardstock) that I secured to the inside of the front of the card.  I used the Cold & Cuddly stamp set for this card.....I love this stamp set.  I think I have used it more often than any other stamp set I have....and I have quite a few.......

Cardstock, stamps, ink: Stampin' Up!
White opaque ink: Staz' On
Frosted card base: Shortcuts
Ribbon: Michaels
Other: button, thread

Thanks for visiting!!
