Color Throwdown #307

Hi everyone!! It's Monika here today, and it is my turn to host this week's challenge. I love sunflowers, and when I saw this picture, I just had to use it. The pretty sunflower looks  fantastic with the (almost) clear blue sky.

Remember if you don't have the exact colors, it’s OK to substitute whatever is close to this week’s colors.  Just be sure that your creation primarily uses only the specified challenge colors.  (All challenge rules can be reviewed in the right side bar.) Once you’ve finished your card or other paper crafting project, add a direct link to your creation using the Inlinkz tool we’ve provided below.  And, don’t forget to use the keyword CTD307 if you upload your project to an online gallery.

AND, some special news this week... we just loved having Jodi Collins as our Guest Designer so much during the month of August that we've invited her to stick around permanently!  So please help us welcome her to the team!

Thanks for playing along with us this week!!!!

Color Throwdown #306

Hi, everyone!  Cindy here with this week's new color challenge!  In my home state of New Hampshire, August brings blueberries, and with it, wonderful memories of blueberry picking with my family.  It's a precious tradition with a sweet, sweet reward!  I do hope you'll enjoy this yummy combination of colors for this week's challenge.

Remember, if you don't have the exact colors, no worries!  Use any similar colors you have on hand.  Just have fun with it!  If you upload to an online gallery, please use the key words CTD306 Also, when linking up your card using the linky tool at the bottom of this post, please link directly to your specific post, not a generic link to your blog.  Check out the "rules" in the right sidebar.

Ready for some inspiration from the design team?  Check out their fabulous projects below, including our amazing August Guest Designer, Jodi Collins, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Kirsty McIntire.

Now it's YOUR turn!  We can't wait to see what you come up with this week.  Thanks for playing!

~Cindy

Featured Stamper #305

Thanks to everyone who took the time to play in last week’s challenge. The projects were all beautiful! It’s time to share this week’s featured stamper with you. Random.org chose number 7, which is Bev's sweet design. I just love the sparkle and the fun circus big top style border across the top of the card.

Congratulations Bev, you are our Featured Stamper for today, and are now invited to join us as Guest Star Stamper for the CTD challenge on August 27! Please email Tammy (tammyhershberger[at]gmail[dot]com) by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time Friday to obtain your Featured Stamper blinkie and get details for the challenge.

Now, for just a few designs that caught my eye as I was checking out the creations:

Kate--love the bold, bright stars against the white background
Robin--she created a great collage style design with a mix of elements and textures
Rachel--she really captured the feel of the inspiration piece along with the colors
Harriet--the watercolor background behind her fish is fabulous

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for a new color challenge hosted by Cindy!
