"THE KIMBALL CLAN!" - 5 new articles
Ok… I know it’s been awhile since yo...Ok… I know it’s been awhile since you guys have heard from me!!!! But BACK OFF I’ve been busy!! No… the problem was that the program that I use to make these diaries; was a trial version from when I bought the computer…and I think we all know how good I am at change!!!! So I had to go and buy the program for my computer and it is big $$$...and I think you also know how cheap I am, soooooo that’s why it took me so long. I had to wait for someone else to buy it, then convince them to let me pirate it and I would buy them a beer next inport!!! You can take the KID out of Boston but you can’t take the swindle outta the KID!!!! Ok where to start…I have to go in the way back machine and go from there. SOOOOO and away we go!!!! 
Ok so we are inport and when a custom made suits cost $125…there is no excuse for going out looking like a bum!!! That’s right people its shampaigne brunch time again!!! It is cheaper to have a 3 piece suit made out here than it is to rent a tucks at home…good thing I’m not Italian….or I’d bring these little guys home with me and just put them in the shed to make suits for me and my friends all day long….come to think of it there may be some $$$ to be made there!!!! Ok …stick to the task at hand…story tellin time!

Ok enough of that. We need to get back out to sea..get up early…kick the tires and light the fires… get my girls all warmed up…and when I decide they are ready to go…give’em up to the bridge!!! SET THE SPECIAL SEA DETAIL!!! Time to slowly pull away from the pier…watch the water churn up off the stern…the pier is shrinking and fading away as the sun begins to rise. We are clutched in on both mains and my girls are purring like kittins. It’s time for them to strut their stuff and show off their 3000 horses apiece.
 So here we are again. Out to sea in the NAG. We are seeing some unusually rough weather for this time of year…big supprise…just when they thought they had seen the worst we showed up and someone hit the button the released all the sand storms and heavy seas!!!!! Oh boy I love not getting any sleep and trying to stand watch. Who’s idea was it for me to join the Coast Guard anyway? Ok time to get down to it…we found a decent day and that only means 1 thing!!! Boardings!!! Time to get suited up!
I’m finding out that the first couple patrols…everything was new…and now it seems to be back to the old grind. We are still doing interesting things but after doing 30 or 40 boardings on dows…they smell the same they look the same and no-one speaks englase…sprekin!!!
We have been workin on a theme here and that theme is… if you know me you know… so lets stick with it shall we?!?! Say it with me…IF YOU KNOW ME…YOU KNOW….how much I love when people don’t speak English!!! How hard is it people….we got little babies that speak it back home…I mean what the hell is so hard about it!!!! We have all agreed that we want to make our presence know when we are underway…so we got a new flag to fly in the NAG…it against the regs but IF YOU KNOW ME….YADDA YADDA… 
Isn’t it awesome…no not me the flag!!! Its friggin huge…again, not me, the flag!!! You can see it from about 2 miles away which is awesome!!! If there is one thing the coast guard has taught me it is that suttlety is the only way to go through life and I have lived my life by that line!
I have been playing some serious cards when I get off watch….things have been going quite well…you may have heard that Michelle received about $1000 worth of digital camera equipment and I am having a ring made of diamonds, rubies, and sapphires that make an American flag! It sure is nice to win…Michelle really loves when I win at cards!!! She gets made when I lose 2 dollars but boy does she love when I win!!! Ok time for me to go to the oil plate form and get some tasking. Me and a couple of the boys have to go and get some secret info…I’d tell ya about it but then I’d have to kill you all!!!  The years of war have turned this place into rubble…its pretty scary looking at the mortar holes and bomb holes…but this is where all of the security goes down…I had the GM2 put his foot next to a hole made from mortar fire…
That plate is ¾ inch steel!!!! There was 1 & ½ inch thick I beams turned into Swiss cheese!
So the next time you see someone who was over here in DESERT STORM Part 1…thank them because this is the type of rounds they had coming at them on a daily basis!!! The emails back and forth from home have been real patchy this patrol but it’s hard to complain when my other 9 years at sea we didn’t have any email…it sure is nice to see my BABA’s name pope onto the screen when I’m on watch…she is an amazing woman and I am lucky to have a woman like her to stand by my side while my duty to our country calls me far away!!! She didn’t enlist…raise her hand…or even ask to be a part of this…but she has endured 15 years of enlistment!!! 5 MORE KITTIN AND PROMISE WE ARE DONE!!! YOU ARE MY STRENGTH!!! I AM A BETTER MAN FOR YOU BEING IN MY LIFE!

Sorry..But I love her and without her none of this would be possible…..ok…ok back to the grind. The patrol has just been one storm after another and the guys are getting a little, how should we say…..CRANKY!!!! what a bunch of girls…me being perfect, I don’t have to worry about these problems. But when you are dealing with this all day everyday, who could blame them???  This is just a 5 footer and trust me it has been much higher than that. It is really hard to take a picture when you are flying across the bridge though, so this is all you get!!!
And right when the heavy seas stop the sand begins… the guys that smoke are the ones that I really feel bad for though…your either getting wet or getting sand blasted. You can see hear that the smokers were a little board… 
And you can imagine what the air intake filters for the boat look like…not pretty. But enough complaining the job is tough, the hours are long, and the heart aches every day, but we are making a real difference out here! For that am very proud! And you should be to!! I miss many things back home that you guys don’t even notice on a daily basis, the next time you see our flag waving in the breeze…take moment to realize what it took to make this country great and you will see just how beautiful that red, white, and blue really is!!!!

Fair winds and following seas…rest easy, I have the watch!!!!  "KIMBALL GERIATRICS"LMAO Okay so I had surgery April 16th, another hernia repair .. THAT'S FUN!!
I rented a hospital bed because I don't have Kage here this time to help me in and out of bed ... and this was the safest way to deal with it. So welcome to the ... "KIMBALL GERIATRIC WARD" LOL 
The kids are in Rhode Island this first week for their vacation with my Mom, so it makes for a nice quiet place to recover! My Mother-in-law, Bonnie, has been great. Stopping by making sure I have everything I need, getting up stairs to take a shower (which was GREAT) and while I showered she changed the sheets on my bed. Ahhh felt so good to be clean!!! Sherry and Ryan have been great as well. Spending last weekend with me so I wasn't alone at night! But I'm managing now! My Jennyfa came to visit and I get lots of calls to see how I'm doing!! Well, I can tell you this ... I'M BORED AS ALL HELL!!!!!! I'm going to go stir crazy and my floors need to be vacuumed ... LMAO!!! OH GOOD GOD HELP ME AND MY OCD'S DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME!! .. LMAO! Nothing a little Vicodin can't handle though ... LOL So all-in-all I'm doing okay. Let's hope this is the last surgery for a long time ... cause I forgot how badly it SUCKS!! ... LOL Off to lay down ... Hope everyone is good!! Till next time .............. 
HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY TO THE KING .......Today at 10:24pm 1994, our oldest child was born ...
He was by FAR the biggest baby *I* had ever seen ... Well, for a newborn that is ... LOL He was born 11lbs 7oz ... 23in long ... Yes, he was the size of a two month old! That explained a lot of MY discomfort ... LOL You try caring around a baby that big on a 5'3" frame ... LOL But he was PERFECT ... and we named him .... "Zachary Kenneth Kimball" 
Happy Birthday Zack ... we are so proud of you ... you are an amazing son even though you can be a huge pain in the A$$!!! LOL
