DALLAS
Catch a scientific showing of Slim Goodbody's Bodyolody at the Granville Arts Center in Garland. Slim will use creative, hands-on experiments to demonstrate the senses and how the body works at 10 and 11:15am today and Tuesday. $6.50 per child.
FORT WORTH
Read a book as a family tonight at the Family Storytime 6:30pm (and every Monday) at the East Arlington Branch Library. This storytime will include songs, rhymes and more, giving the whole family a chance to take turns reading to the group. Free.
NORTH TEXAS
It's raining outdoors, but that doesn't mean you can't get some exercise! Splash around at Morning Splash Time at The Colony Aquatic Park. The park has a kid-friendly pool with lots of cool entertainment (think: slides!) at 11am-12pm every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. $3 ages 7 and older; $2 ages 6 and younger.

Let's face it...Texas summers are down right hot. Unless you live at a water park - playing outside can feel like playing in a sauna. Kids can get restless in the midst of these long, hot days. Give them a cooler option! Visit our online camp fair now through the end of June and search local and out of area summer camps, activities and schools to find tons of summer fun for your kids. Catch a performance of Beauty and the Beast, premiering at 10:30am today at Slappy's Puppet Playhouse in Dallas. You'll see the beloved princess tale come to life—in puppet form! The show continues every Friday-Sunday through April 4. $9 adults; $8 children ages 3-17.

Little ladies will dance the night away at the Daddy-Daughter Dance: Enchanted Rainforest from 7-9pm today at the Colleyville Center. The evening will include music, refreshments and more. Purchase tickets in advance. $35 per couple; $10 each additional child; $5 more for non-Colleyville residents.

Take in the exhibit Masterworks of American Photography: Popular Culture from 10am-8pm today at Fort Worth's Amon Carter Museum. The exhibit showcases photographs of familiar places and faces from the Great Depression through the 1960s. Free.

Get splashing at Mommy and Me Swim Time from 9:30-11am today at Flower Mound's Community Activity Center pool. Caregivers and little ones will enjoy a bit of exercising and socializing in the heated indoor pool. $8-$4.
