Local rugby team makes it to State

GREENE COUNTY — The Dayton area girls high school rugby team is made up of players entirely from Greene County. In fact the squad should be called the Beavercreek rugby team because that is where every player hails from. They are all tough and talented and will represent the Miami Valley area at State this weekend.

Dragons rally for big win against West Michigan

DAYTON, Ohio. — The Dayton Dragons scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to overcome a 6-5 deficit, defeating the West Michigan Whitecaps 7-6 on Thursday night. Xenia Board of Education honors Phyllis Nickoson

XENIA — Xenia Board of Education Member Lee Rose and Superintendent Dr. Deb Piotrowski recognize Xenia resident Phyllis Nickoson for her efforts in securing new flags for every classroom in the new elementary buildings. Nickoson made it possible for a new American Flag to be placed in every new classroom in the Xenia Community Schools.
