10:00-10:30 am MDT:  ROBERT RAYMOND on FAMILYSEARCH FAMILY TREE FOR INFLUENCERS
10:30 - 23 Noon MDT:  ROBERT RAYMOND on FAMILYSEARCH RECORD SEARCH TIPS AND TRICKS

ABOUT ROBERT RAYMOND:
Robert Raymond is a Deputy to FamilySearch Chief Genealogical Officer, David Rencher. He is a frequent presenter at national, regional, and local conferences. He was a director of the National Genealogical Society from 2012 to 2018. Robert is a genealogist and technologist with over 40 years of experience in technology and genealogy. He holds over a dozen patents (inventions, not land ;-) ) and earned a master's degree in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University where he was honored as a Kimball Scholar. He was a member of the Eta Kappa Nu Electrical Engineering Honor Society, and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.

ABOUT THE MAIN PRESENTATION 10:00-10:30 am MDT:
FAMILYSEARCH FAMILY TREE FOR INFLUENCERS
FamilySearch Family Tree is an important undertaking. You are building something bigger than yourself. While genealogists within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints regularly use FamilySearch Family Tree, non-genealogists in the Church and genealogists outside the Church do not. As an influencer, you might wish you could convince more knowledgeable genealogists to use the Tree more often (and less knowledgeable genealogists to use it less)!  Influencers need a new mindset. See contributions by other influential genealogists and learn how they dissuade unwanted changes. Learn some focus areas for your time and how to apply genealogical standards.

ABOUT THE CLASS:
FAMILYSEARCH RECORD SEARCH TIPS AND TRICKS
This presentation covers searching historical record collections. Whether you are a new searcher or an accomplished researcher, this presentation has something for you. Learn foundational tips and power-user features. When you understand what is happening under the covers, you are in a better position to guide the search engine. If search results have ever left you scratching your head, this presentation will move you ahead, increasing your ability to find the most elusive records.
