Moreover a third party service can keep serving your feed and your audience should your site go down. The stress about moving sites isn't a reason to have it at FeedBurner or FeedBlitz IMHO. Your point about CONTROL we here at FeedBlitz agree with 100%. Which is why in the Migration Guide we say that people should advertise their feed on their own domain e.g. example.com/feed so that they retain CONTROL.
