Installing FeedBlitz on Movable Type

This guide is designed to give you step by step instruction on how to install FeedBlitz on Moveable Type. Before you begin, be sure you know how/where to get the HTML code for the registration box. If you dont know how to get this code, you can find help here: www.feedblitz.com/kb

Step 1 - Log into Movable Type

Log into Moveable Type and arrive at the dashboard screen.

Step 2 - Accessing Templates

On the side bar locate and click the Templates links under the Configure heading.

Step 3 - Accessing the Main Index

A list of the different files that are part of your Index template should appear. Click on the Main Index link to proceed to the editor.

Step 4 - Inside the Template Editor

This is the somewhat tricky part. First, look at side bar of your blog and decide where you would like to put the FeedBlitz subscription box. You will have to think of the different parts that make up your sidebar because you will have to discern what is what within the code of the Main Index. Here are some examples of sidebar elements and their associated code in the Main Index. This is not a complete list, just a couple to help you understand.

Step 4 - Inserting Code

Once you have found the element you want your FeedBlitz subscription box to follow after, you simple just have to paste the code after that element. One minor adjustment to the code must be made. Locate the line of code below and chang the size=”30” to size=”20”.
