FeedBlitz makes it easy to offer the same content on different schedules, allowing your subscribers to choose how much and how often they get mail from you. This enables you to keep more subscribers for longer, since those who want less mail won’t unsubscribe if you send to them every day (and vice versa).
In order to create a newsletter mailing with a customized frequency, please start by selecting your Newsletter from the dashboard. On the next page, you can click on the “I Want To” button in the upper right area of the page.
Please select “Settings, schedule” from the drop down menu. On the next page, please click the green “Clone List” button.
Once you have cloned your list, go back to your dashboard, then select the newly cloned Newsletter. Click the “I Want To” and choose “Settings, schedule”. On this page you will want to change the name of Newsletter. A recommendation would be to change the name to “…. (weekly)”.
Once you have changed the name, you will want to select a schedule. To do so, select the Mailing Settings and Schedule tab, click the blue hyperlink that denotes the current schedule setting.
A popup will appear. Select the drop down menu and select the desired frequency. Once you have completed this step, you may then click the gray “Update Schedule” button.
Now you have a weekly mailing. To offer both to subscribers at signup time you need to change the form.
From either newsletter, click the “I Want To” button, then select “Subscription forms and links”. On this page you have the option of using our classic form, or our SmartForm. When using the classic form, will choose the option “All” to offer all subscription options to the subscriber.
If using the SmartForm, select the “Content” tab, then bring the “List Signup Options” tile to the top. We recommend changing the field from Subscribe to: to something that will be an indicator to subscribers that they can select the subscription that works for them, such as Choose:. Next, please click the cog in the upper right area, then the tile will expand. You will then select the desired newsletter subscriptions.
